Question 1

How do I collect deposits from tattoo clients without paying platform fees?

Accepted Answer

NoirHQ generates direct payment verification links tied to each booking. Clients pay deposits directly to your studio via Stripe Connect — NoirHQ charges zero platform transaction fees on deposits. You keep 100% of what the client pays.

Question 2

Can I restrict my front desk staff from seeing payroll or revenue data?

Accepted Answer

Yes. NoirHQ uses a full Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) system. Front Desk accounts can manage bookings and clients but are locked out of payroll, analytics, and financial dashboards. Only Owner-tier accounts have full visibility.

Question 3

How does NoirHQ handle guest artist commission splits?

Accepted Answer

NoirHQ tracks each booking by artist, records the agreed commission percentage per guest artist session, and generates a payroll summary that calculates the house cut and artist payout automatically. No manual spreadsheet required.

Question 4

Does NoirHQ have inventory alerts for tattoo supplies?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The inventory module lets you set a mid-point threshold for each supply item (needles, ink, aftercare). When stock drops to or below that threshold, the dashboard surfaces an alert and optionally sends an email notification to the studio owner.

Question 5

What aftercare automation does NoirHQ include?

Accepted Answer

NoirHQ includes a 30-day automated SMS aftercare sequence powered by Twilio. After a session is marked complete, the system sends scheduled care reminder messages to the client — day 1, day 3, day 7, day 14, and day 30 — without any manual input from the artist.

Question 6

Is there a free trial for NoirHQ?

Accepted Answer

Yes. NoirHQ offers a 7-day free trial on all plans. No credit card is required to start. The trial mirrors the Studio plan in full — 8 artist profiles, unlimited bookings, staff logins, design approval workflow, client CRM, and automated SMS aftercare sequences.
